The community

Firstly, we have the film The Community, in this narrative, we are introduced to Erik (Ulrich Thomsen), an architecture professor, and his wife, Anna (Trine Dyrholm), a television presenter. 

They are moving into a large residence together with their daughter, Freja (Martha Sofie Wallstrøm Hansen). 

With a desire for innovation and hoping to improve their daily lives, the family decides to invite friends and acquaintances to share the house, creating a kind of community. 

Together, they share expenses and have daily meetings, whether for meals or discussions. However, over time, Erik moves away from Anna and falls in love with student Emma (Helene Reingaard Neumann). 

Furthermore, to further complicate the situation, the house's residents agree to let young Emma join them, which triggers a rapid deterioration in Anna's life.

Druk – Another Round

In the story, we follow four friends, all teachers, who face various challenges in their lives. 

During their weekly meetings, they decide to explore Finn Skarderud's intriguing theory, which suggests that a certain level of alcohol consumption can improve social, work, and family interactions. 

In this way, they become followers of this concept and discover a lot about life, but they also experience the side effects of this journey.

The plot revolves around Rosa, a struggling woman who faces problems in her marriage with Dado, is dissatisfied with her work and receives shocking news from her mother Clarisse: her father, Homer, is not her real father. 

This revelation deeply shakes the protagonist, triggering a journey of transformation throughout the 102 minutes of the film.

You were not here

The plot takes us into the reality of a lower middle class British family. Ricky, an enthusiastic Manchester United fan, decides to invest in a delivery van in the hope of improving his family's financial situation. 

However, this decision profoundly affects the lives of everyone around him, including his wife Abbie, a dedicated caregiver, who loses part of her precious schedule and time due to this change. 

The couple's children also face transformations, leading us to question whether Ricky made the right decision in trying to overcome existing challenges. 

The answers to this question become evident as we explore the company that provides Ricky with delivery services.

Story of a Marriage

“Marriage Story” chronicles the lives of Nicole and Charlie, a couple who live a busy life in New York due to their theater careers. 

Nicole is the main actress and Charlie is the director of the theater company. They have a beloved son, but when Nicole receives a job offer she can't refuse in Los Angeles, their relationship collapses. 

Months pass, Nicole settles in California, and the fight now centers on the divorce process.

In this story, we meet Beth, a young woman who lives in a small town in the United States and has few aspirations in life. 

Her uncle Frank, a professor at New York University, becomes her role model, as he encourages her to seek independence and be who she wants to be. 

Over time, Beth discovers that Frank is gay and has been in a relationship with Wally for more than 10 years. After their grandfather's death, they have to travel to their hometown for the funeral.

Dear Leah

In the story we follow, we are introduced to Jonas (Grégory Montel), the manager of a construction company. 

He wakes up early after a company party, determined to find his current passion, the charming Léa (Anaïs Demoustier), a talented opera singer. 

Their relationship is strained, and Jonas is reluctant to accept the inevitable breakup. After this meeting, he seeks refuge in a café, managed by Mathieu (Grégory Gadebois), located opposite Léa's house. 

In this environment, Jonas begins to write about love, perhaps as a form of self-reflection, exploring the depths of his emotions. 

Throughout this day full of twists and turns and conflicting dialogues, observation and interaction with other people become constant, whether on the bus, at the train station or in the cozy cafe.
