Known by her stage name “Salomé”, Fernanda Quiñones dazzles as a dancer at the famous D'Rubí cabaret, in Mexico City, where she shares the stage with her friend Karicia.

One night, after a performance, the two friends, somewhat happy from excessive drinking, end up at the Montesino residence.

There, Salomé comes across Julio, the family's millionaire heir, whose life is tightly controlled by his mother, Lucrecia. Julio is married to Ângela, a sick woman incapable of bearing children, a fact that devastates Lucrecia who dreams of a grandson to inherit her fortune.

In the same house, lives Diego, Ângela's brother, responsible for taking the dancers there.

Some time later

As time passes, an unexpected romance blossoms between Salomé and Julio. Lucrezia, obsessed with the idea of an heir, sees in Salomé the perfect opportunity to fulfill her desire.

Thus, she proposes that Salomé become pregnant with Julio, and, despite the complex circumstances, Salomé accepts the agreement.

However, upon realizing that Julio, even in love, would not abandon Angela, and that the child would be raised by her, Salomé regrets it and decides to run away, taking with her not only her own son, but also two babies abandoned by a neighbor.

She records them as triplets, including the two found as her own children.

After 20 years

Twenty years pass and Fernanda, now using her given name, thrives as a successful businesswoman, leaving her cabaret life behind and raising her three sons, José Armando, José Miguel and José Julián.

On a return to Mexico to meet Karicia, who is living a difficult reality after an abusive relationship with Lucho, Fernanda comes across Julio and his mother again.

They, still obsessed with the past, try to discover which of the three young people is the real son of Salomé and Julio, generating an unexpected turn of events in everyone's lives.
